Good Morning. This is Dr. Wheeler with a few reminders and updates on upcoming events. Written information on the events have been sent home in your Tuesday Folders and on your PTA calendar. These reminders also will be posted on the Principal News portion of our school website.
Early Release School ends at 12:30 p.m. today. It is an early release day.
PTA Picnic Pot Luck in the Park is tonight, Friday, September 27th at Isabella Cannon Park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. We hope to see you there with a dish to share.
Interims Interim performance data will be sent home today for all second, third, fourth, and fifth grade students. You should find a general summative sheet, an mClass sheet that explains their current level of performance in Reading fluency and comprehension, and a Single Subject Acceleration (SSA) sheet that explains their performance level on placement assessments. Please remember that the placement tests are a measure of what your child already knew on this year’s curriculum. The information helps the teachers tailor instruction to the learning needs of your child. Kindergarten and first grade students will have their performance information sent home in next week’s Tuesday Folder. Please look for an mClass sheet on your child’s Reading fluency and another sheet from Dr. Wheeler and Mrs. Russell on your child’s Math assessment. If your child needs extra assistance in Mathematics or Reading, you will receive an interim sheet with that information.
On behalf of the staff at Olds, thank you parents for all you are doing to support your children, teachers, and school! We appreciate you.
